About us

Why take Teacher Training with us?

Enjoy a Yoga Teacher Training Experience in person with us or online in the comfort of your own home. Our incredibly comprehensive and renown training is hybrid so it can be taken from anywhere around the world. This gives more of our future community access to a trusted program that has graduated multitudes of talented and capable instructors.

What sets Revolution Yoga’s Teacher Training Apart?

Our program is holistic, integrated and based on parampara (an unbroken chain of ancient lineage) With the push towards developing technology, truth seekers no longer have to travel beyond their home to learn all the secrets behind the workings of the universe and the self. You’ll be given all the tools you need to find yourself and lead your future students along the same path to the inner self.

We have gone through great measures to develop this training beyond the normal boundaries of a 200 hour training: Time after time we’ve had instructors trained elsewhere come to us complaining that they left other 200 hour trainings feeling unprepared to teach, confused about what meditation is, and unsure of what yoga really means. We believe this should be an integral part of training so we’ve curated authentic, experienced leaders who are not only good at what they do, they are good at teaching you how to teach (an art unto itself).

Amanda has put together a manual and program that not only gives a great overview of the real roots of yoga (the way the sages and rishis of the himalayas intended the knowledge be passed on) but gives trainees direct experience of the 8 limbs of the yoga practice through special journaling, meditation and self-exploration throughout training. The best teachers teach from experience, from what they know. Here you will gain knowledge not just from study but direct experience in a palatable, exciting, and easy to understand formula. So often we get trainee alumnis coming back beaming with gratitude as their knowledge of yoga philosophy and practices has completely changed their lives for the better. We are very proud of the trainees we have sent out into the world and very proud of the program we have put together.

Upon completion of our program, teachers are eligible to teach private clients, groups, and corporate clients. Students will be prepared to teach in studios, gyms, at retreats, and clinical settings.

What sets Revolution's style of yoga apart from others?

Every class you'll be sure to receive your daily dose of vinyasa krama. Vinyasa Krama means intelligently sequenced so one pose builds to the next. Your practice will feel organic as your body gradually opens in flexibility and builds in strength as the practice progresses within your one to one hour and fifteen minute class. This is a very safe and intelligently thought out process so your practice will heal you rather than harm you. Your training at Revolution Yoga will teach you to lead in this style. All trainees have all been highly trained in injury prevention, alignment practices and techniques that have been proven in studies of yoga and physiology to be the safest forms of movement and body mechanics.

You will be taught how to sequence Ayurvedically. Ayurveda is yoga's sister science which is still used as a form of medicine and healing in India. It has been developed over 5000 years into the holistic and incredibly effective medical system that it is today. Ayurveda understands how the seasons and our environment affect our bodies and minds on many levels and uses lifestyle practices and yoga technique (asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy) to balance your unique constitution for the season we are in. All Revolution classes and styles are sequenced specifically from a pool of hundreds of postures to leave you feeling perfectly balanced for the season bringing your body back into equilibrium. Training will provide you with the wisdom to know how to lead in this way.

Learn to authentically integrate yoga philosophy, spirituality and breathwork technique into every class. By not ignoring the 8 limbs of yoga for just asana (physical practice) we feel we are teaching what the sages and rishis intended for this practice. Not only will you be helping your students to achieve vibrant health, you'll be presenting ideas that will start to change your life. Lastly in that vein we integrate meditation or concentration technique into each class for the whole yoga package. You’ll be able to offer something for any and every body with all of the modules.
